America's Schooner Cup - 2025!

America's Schooner Cup

The schooner Bill of Rights had a fantastic crew this year in the 2025 America’s Schooner Cup Regatta.

We had seasoned crew who had sailed tall ships from New England, Great Lakes and Pacific Coast.  The wind was was fresh and fail.  The BILL OF RIGHTS was in her element and a wonderful sail was had.  For the first time, we one our class and 1st overall (after ratings).

What a wonderful day!

We raced the 136-foot schooner Bill of Rights in the annual America’s Schooner Cup – Charity Regatta, hosted by Silver Gate Yacht Club.

We sail for the beauty of schooners at sea, the community of schooner sailors and the charity benefitting the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.

The beautiful schooner BILL OF RIGHTS was built by Captain Joe Davis at the Gamage yard in Bristol Maine.  She was launched in 1971 and spent the next decades plying New England waters.

After all these years, the BILL OF RIGHTS is especially honored this year to have aboard Captain Joe Davis, SR, his sons (see picture of Joe & Christian in 1971 ), family, friends and original crew members.

OH WHAT SEA STORIES AND THE JOY OF SAILING WE WILL ENJOY!
